Internet access through local vpn server?

Hi all,

I've just set up an OpenVPN server on pfSense running in a Virtualbox on Windows 7. I want to test the throughput performance of the server via lan on my windows 8 laptop. However, when I connect (with all client traffic forced through the server) I dont have internet (wan access). How do i make sure all my traffic to/from the internet flows through the vpn server so i can test the bottleneck of this server? I couldnt find any solutions to this specific problem that worked...
