What is the oldest, AMD or nVidia, GFX card with full win10 driver support?

I'm putting together a non-gaming Ryzen box and I need a simple video card with a DVI connector (screen only has DVI)

A tricky question. Since the system is not used for gaming, I don't need cutting edge, simply display output, but I"m guessing a simplt GT 710/GT 730 would do then, yes?

Trick question indeed. Yes both card is sufficient for your need.
Plot twist, there is 2 version of GT730. One with Fermi architecture and another one with Kepler but since you're only using it as simply display output it should be fine.

You can even get away with Nvidia 400 series or AMD 4000 series i think.

This sounds like a variant of what’s the cheapest discrete graphics cans that Win10 supports, with the wrinkle that you’re including used cards.  It’s a diminishing returns problem I think.  As one scrapes towards the bottom it stops being a question of a $50 card vs a $75 card and more of a $5.00 card vs a $7.50 card.

Not a pro, not even very good.  I’m just old and have time currently.  Assuming I know a lot about computers can be a mistake.

Life is like a bowl of chocolates: there are all these little crinkly paper cups everywhere.

Something like that. I picked up a GT 730 for cheap so I'm good to go, thanks for your help gang :)
