PC glasses

Go to solution Solved by 191x7,

The best software for this is f.lux and I do believe it does work. The page is https://justgetflux.com/ and there you can download it for free.

But it's important to set it up properly (the location so that it could adjust for daylight and night, the illumination type you use at night and the light temperature [and for this you have to know the specs of the lightbulb you use!]) since it can cause discomfort if set wrongly.

Also, most modern monitors have low blue light technologies built in. And you should never use it at full brightness.

Hey, i know that pc glasses block the harmful effect of the monitor but whenever i wear them i get a headache which is annoying.

I also know there's softwares etc to make the screen/yellowish etc  i don't know what it exactly does but i know it's similar to the pc glasses however i'm not sure if it actually works and came to verify it here

Does it actually work? because i need to take the strain off my eyes.

Also if it does actually work can you please give me the name of the software?

Which options do i choose in it though mind helping me out? thanks

It only goes into night mode if it's night etc? what if i want it in night mode all the time to maximize less strain on my eyes?

You can have it ON all the time, it's somewhere in the settings.

You need to know the warmth of the light of the lightbulb that illuminates your room. It's something like 2700K, 3600K, 4200K etc, somewhere on the buld or on the packing of the bulb. It's really important to set it properly.

Also, there's a trick to eliviate eyestrain called bias illumination - having a light source behind the monitor illuminating the wall and monitor edges.

This is especially useful when using the PC under low light situations like gaming in the dark.

Edit: most options are accessible by right clicking the tray icon.
