3900x MSI MEG ACE x570 8d problem

Dear members of LTT,

 

I was wondering if anyone could help me with this issue.

Sometimes when I turn on my computer, I get the 8d error on my motherboard.

The only way around this is to hit the restart button once, after it boots up to Windows 10 just fine.

 

This only seems to happen after I enable XMP on my motherboard.

After some searching it seems like its memory related issue. 

 

I tried some things already like:

1. Updating the bios to latest version & AMD Chipset drivers

2. Making sure my rams well seated in A2 and B2  (2x16gb)

3. Checking all cable connectivity on the devices.

 

Computer Specs:

MSI MEG x570

AMD Ryzen 9 3900x

ASUS STRIX GTX 1080 ti

G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB (16GBx2)

Samsung EVO PLUS 500gb M.2

EVGA 850 G2

Windows 10 Pro

 

Has anyone encountered something like this before? If anyone could give me some solutions to fix this annoying problem, I would much appreciate it.

Actually a few motherboards, including a lot of MSI boards, seem to be having this problem right now. 

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Yes, I have seen people post about this issue on MSI support forums but unfortunately no proper fixes.

Weirdly enough, it only happens when I try to boot the computer, other than that everything works and runs without problems.

 

I know some Asus board users have this issue too and say something about lowering their SOC voltage in BIOS to 1.07 but when I check my SOC, its well below that value so I don't know what to do.

 

It could either be a RAM or Motherboard defect, but if there's some troubleshooting options, I'd like to try them first.
