GPU Thermal Paste Apllication

Go to solution Solved by Skiiwee29,

Doesnt really matter.. as long as the full die is covered is all that matters. I personally apply an X pattern on the die for GPUs.

Hello,

I am going to be liquid cooling my graphics card shortly and I just want to check the proper way to apply thermal paste to a GPU die. I am going to be using a NZXT Kraken G12 and a Corsair H55 AIO on my GTX 1080Ti founders edition.

What is the best way to apply the paste to ensure that the card doesn't overheat or damage itself? It will be my first time taking apart a graphics card so I want to do it properly and in the safest way possible.

Thanks in advanced!

L
