Get something from Reddragon for around 30, it's few bucks more, but boards below 30 are just not worth it, they are complete and utter shit most of the time. This https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K552-Mechanical-Keyboard-Equivalent/dp/B016MAK38U is a decent option, very sturdy board, but keep in

mind it's gonna be loud, most of these cheap boards come with blue switch or similar to it, it's tactile and clicky, might annoy your family a lot.

EDIT get this one https://www.amazon.com/VELOCIFIRE-TKL02-Mechanical-Copywriters-Programmers/dp/B07DFBKYT5/ref=sr_1_4?crid=2H4EBWQOX6V9G&keywords=brown+switch+keyboard&qid=1573309977&s=electronics&sprefix=brown+%2Celectronics%2C252&sr=1-4 it's decent for the money and switches are brown which is very rare on these cheapo boards, best option if you can't have loud keyboard, it's this or anything from Reddragon. You are not getting best of anything in this price range, decent is at best what you are getting.

No.

There are so many switch types, that you really need to try them yourself to get a good feel of what you like, and what you don't like.

No one here can tell you that, and no amount of research is going to tell you which switch type you're going to like; you have to try them.

EDIT: That said with a budget that low you're likely not looking at many decent options anyway, so switch type might not even be a choice.
