I purchased my dell Inspiron 5675 in the winter of 2017 or 18 as I got a good discount since my dad works there. It has always been pretty slow but overall, it wasn't anything I couldn't deal with. I just recently purchased a refurbished RTX 2070 for $350 as an upgrade and that's when the real problems begun. For the first week everything worked fine even though I was a little CPU bound. But recently, every time I try to play any game it just blue screens. I've mostly gotten the error code IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, but I remember getting one about driver expectation or something as well. All of my drivers are up to date, I don't have viruses of any sort, and I maxed out all the windows power settings. Any help would be appreciated as i'm pretty bored not being able to play any games.

Specs:

Ryzen 5 1400

Refurbished RTX 2070 from zotac (used to have an RX 580 if that helps)

16 gigs of ddr4 at 2400

Two, one terabyte hard drives at 7200 rpm

Some generic 850 watt dell psu

Inspiron 5675 motherboard

The general troubleshooting for this would be to make sure you have Windows up to date, all of your drivers up to date (you said you did), update your BIOS, and if it still occurs, close or uninstall running software such as anti-virus, onedrive and so forth to see if you can prevent the error.

Also make sure your AMD RX580 drivers (and any other RX580 software) has been uninstalled.

If it still occurs, can you check the windows event log to see if there is any further information?
