Upgrading to New GPU

So I need help for my pc, this is what I'm currently running

 

Case: DEEP COOL Tesseract
MoBo: MSI B450 Tomahawk
Ram: Crucial Ballistix 4x4gb
Cpu: Ryzen 5 1400
Gpu: MSI GTX 950
PSU: 500W EVGA
Storage: 2TB Seagate Firecuda SSHD

 

Instead of the MSI gtx 950 I'm want too upgrade too this:

FX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition

For $179.99

Looks good, make sure your psu have the gpu power connectors to power the card

I believe the GPU that I want comes with an 8 pin connector for it

I wouldn't buy a new Polaris card right now, it's already an old architecture that doesn't even support VP9 codecs.

 

Used Polaris cards are much cheaper and the new RX 5500 Navi cards are coming soon but we don't have a date yet other than this year.

I have to second this^     @RuneClouds

Either buy something on a good deal used, like an ultra-cheap RX 470/570 8GB as those are still floating around (also some have even scored used GTX 1070 on eBay for around $220-180, or perhaps even used RX 590 for less).

 

If you are buying new, you are going to be better off waiting for RX 5500.  If you don't wanna wait the slightly more ok pick may be a GTX 1660 Super or 1660 on sale.

So $179.99 isn't a good deal for XFX Radeon RX 580 GTS XXX Edition?? I play games and stream and I'm not wanting too get a used card I've had bad experience with used stuff and don't wanna do that, it seems like it'd be better than my main gtx 950?

It is a decent deal, but you should wait for 5500 xt etc from Amd. They launch this year.
