Hey everybody, on black friday/cyber monday I plan on buying my first custom build computer for gaming and casual work.

I am prepared to spent around 1500-1600€. Build also includes new monitor which I plan on using and also might do overclocking.

Thoughts on the build are appreciated :) Thanks :)

you seem to be from the us.

check if there is something called singles day in the us.

it's huge in china and it's in some nordic stores such as komplett.

it's the 11 of november 11/11. and a lot of pc components go on sale.

If you seriously plan to do some overclocks then I'd suggest more than a Noctua. It's good for minor OC but if you really want to push your CPU then you'll want some liquid cooling.

Get Crucial P1instead of the 970 EVO it's the same price for double the storage.

Might want to consider a better breathing case too.

Everything else is good :)

I pushed my 8700k to 5,1GHz with my NH-U14S (Prime95 24h test), the 3600 is way cooler so it should handle it fine :)

Why not using a giant HDD than just 1 tb ssd as the second drive? With the same money you can have 4tb.

For casual work, you don't need the noctua, the stock cooler is just enough.

Yes I was thinking about getting 3600 mhz, is there lots of diffrence between 3600 and 3200 mhz ?

Also I am from Slovenia, so prices here are pretty high, thats why I want to wait for black friday/cyber monday.

Well I am fairly new to overclocking, so yeah I plan to do minor OC and not going full blast on it :)

Really? I've experimented with that part as well on my 3700X and had a lot of trouble. Might be an airflow issue on my end though.

oh yea eastern europe all computer parts are expensive.

have a friend from croatia so i kinda know the struggle.

but i don't think you're gonna see a massive spike in preformance going from 3200 to 3600 but it will be a little.

so this should only be if you have the budget and should be seen as a "luxury bonus".

don't take the statement above out of context

Yeah, will see if there will be any 3600 kits on sale, otherwise will stay with the 3200 :) Thank you.

Depends of the voltage, I'm extremely lucky because my CPU runs at 1.275v, never go past 80°C in heavy gaming session.

Well without RGB there are the Fractal Design Meshify C (great airflow) and Define S (good airflow), the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M TG (great airflow with RGB option depending of the model).

Yeah, 1tb is pretty small for today's standard, games can be 100gb each. And gaming performance is not that different if you installed it in a HDD as long as you have enough memory.
