My PC is fairly new. Built January of this year.

Yesterday I was playing the new Call of Duty and at some point the game froze and the computer went into a blue screen with a frown face it said Watchdog Violation. I was able to shut off the PC and get back online. Should I be worried? Any fix?

The Watchdog Violation BSOD usually indicates a stability issue. Have you overclocked your CPU? And what do your temps look like?

I have never overclocked. I would assume you cant do that on accident? I don't even know how to overclock. I also have not been looking at my temps. Something I did notice is that my SSD storage is running low and that is where I have Windows Installed as well as a few games? I also got a notification asking me if I wanted to delete my previous versions of windows ? I didnt want to say yes and screw anything up .. not sure if this helps

if your disks are low on space it could impact their preformance and might end up crashing your computer and more.

i almost briked mine by accidentally downloading too much on the ssd my OS was on

Anything i've written between the * and * is not meant to be taken seriously.

keep in mind that helping with problems is hard if you aren't specific and detailed.

i'm also not a professional, (yet) so make sure to personally verify important information as i could be wrong.

You generally don't want to completely fill up an SSD. The "previous versions of Windows" message refers to the windows.old folder you probably have on your SSD. It can be used as a restore point, but since you don't have any issues related to your Windows installation, I would suggest getting rid of it, especially since you're low on storage.

You can more easily delete any unwanted files that just pile up over time (including the windows.old folder) you can right click on your C drive, go to Properties, Disk Clean-up and then Clean up system files. You could also use something like CCleaner I'd assume, and that would probably get the job done too.

Thank you. How can I delete the windows.old folder? Message is popping up now. Do you think this could have caused my issue?

That shouldn't be the cause of your problem, but when has this started occuring? If it started happening right after a Windows update, then you can use that old Windows version as a restore point, and see if that solves it. If not, then you can remove it like this:

It will show up as "Old Windows installation" or something similar here.
