  • So, right now I have a Ryzen 7 2700 and a RX 570 4 GB with a 430w PSU. Is that a high enough PSU? What if I wanted to use a Zotac AMP RTX 2060? Would hate to swap out a PSU, but would like to know if this could really cause issue or is just jargon that companies use and only applies under very certain circumstances. Thanks.

What exact PSU? The only 430W I know of is a cheap chinese one so...

At the same retail price as that 2060 is the faster RX 5700, XFX's dual fan model is $330 due to it's average but fine cooler.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

my 3700x uses 75-150 watts and i think that that 570 4gb uses almost 200 watts, so its very close. Would buy some 650 watt psu if i was you.

It’s a Corsair semi modular 430w.

Right. The 2700 has a rating of 65 watts, so I’m good there.

well that TDP number is pretty worthless, but it's not going to draw more than 100W under a gaming load anyways.

and that PSU should be fine
