Hello i have a sapphire HD 7950 since January 2013 but the cooling don't convince me (loud and no very great for cooling my gpu ) should i wait for the warranty to end for changing the cooling system ? do you have heard of any cooling problem with this card or malfunction that require me to use the warranty ?

thank you ;)

Could just keep the shroud, then if any problems arise, put it back on, saving any thermal pads that came on the original and keeping as much thermal paste as possible. TTL did this by wrapping in cling film/ shrink wrap.

I would just swap the cooler for something like an ArcticCooling Accelero and keep the old cooler with all the thermal pads. Just rap the old cooler with all the pads and screws it in clingfilm to prevent them from getting lost or dusty. If you really have to RMA it you can just put the old cooler back on.

Never heard of issues with the 7950, maybe just not that good tim.

I purchased a PowerColor 7950 a while back, it had a really loud fan and the temps were not very impressive. I decided to get an Arctic 7970 Cooler myself a few months ago, definitely worth it. I overclocked it to 1200/1500 and my temps never go above 55c when I'm playing games, it is also very very quiet. Even if I set it to 100% fan speed I can barely hear it. The only problem is the installation, they don't give you very good instructions and I was forced to do research on the internet to find some better tutorials and installation instructions, but it was worth it.

I also have the Accelero Xtreme 7970 on a Powercolor 7970. Awesome temps and silence @ 1250 / 1675 (stock volts) but the mounting mechanism is kind of critical, as only 2 screws hold this massive cooler on the mounting plate. The threads are very sensitive, so be careful, not to put too much pressure on the screws while mounting.  ;-)

I would recommend Arctic Cooling as well, but be careful removing the stock cooler normally voids your warranty.

yep i'm going to take the decision soon. voiding the warranty may be necessary  i don't want to wait the summer for extreme gpu temp ;)

Just unscrew the sapphire cooler carefully and don't leave any marks on the screws or anything so you can put original cooler back if you have to RMA the card B)

Edit: and check the thermal paste it may be dried up shit and alone cause your higher temps
