You could grab something like an R9 380 for $60 on ebay, which would be even better than the 1050 Ti. Just make sure you have the power connectors for it (2x6 pin if memory serves me right).

I've got $100 to spare for something like this, and I planned on getting her something used since $100 isn't very much for new. She games on her desktop and it's quite old, FX4300 8GB RAM; thus I need something lower end for her. Luckily she's getting my Ryzen parts when I move to 3rd gen. I know it's smarter to just wait and buy her something nice but she games at least everyday so she can't wait for the sales.

Mostly just waiting for some good sales to come around as I'm not willing to fork out full price for most of the cards on the market.

Used market then, since Black Friday is less than a month a way so it really doesnt need to last long. GTX 960 or R9 280 maybe?
