Should i wait for Maxwell??

Alright, I'm getting ready to buy and build my first "gaming" computer. The only set back that i am having is the GPU. I am starting to hear more and more about the Maxwell GPU's from NVIDIA. Currently I am set on buying the 780 SC ACX or the 780 FTW ACX. Should i wait or should i go ahead and but the 780 and possibly sell the card closer to the time of the release of Maxwell to get some money back to buy the new Maxwell GPU?

Just go ahead and buy the 780 now, we have no idea of how many months it will be until release

Scheduled for Q1, but we know that's not likely with the 19nm process trying to make its way into the mix. If we see Maxwell any time soon, it will be something like a 750 or 750 Ti

If you get the EVGA card, you have 3 months to sell it back for the same price you bought it and upgrade to Maxwell.

If you're set on buying now and can afford it, I highly suggest not waiting. New tech is coming out so frequently, if you wait for the next best thing, you'll never stop waiting.

Wouldn't it be better to wait until they come out and then buy a reduced price 780? Or is the price not going to change?

That depends on which maxwell you are talking about. a 850 or 860, probably not but we don't know.

And the whole "edition" thing means nothing.
