AMD Build Threadripper

Hey!

 

Below is the build I'm considering for my next system which will be primarily be used for video editing 4k, gaming, and rendering in blender or Revit. 

 

  • Fractal Design Meshify C Black ATX
  • AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1920X
  • ASROCK X399 Taichi
  • G. Skill Trident Z Neo 64 GB (may double this)
  • Intel 660p Series M.2 2 TB x2
  • EVGA GeForce RTX 2080 Super XC Ultra 
  • Corsair RMX Series (2018) 850W Plus Gold
  • Cable Mod custom cables. 
  • Cooling - Corsair Hydro H100i (Also considering their custom config. instead) With additional Corsair LL Series fans as needed.

Any advice would be a huge help. 

 

Concerns

  • Should I go with the RTX 2080ti to reduce chances of bottle neck? 
  • Should I go Duel GPU with SLI or is it not worth the money.
  • Threadripper is such a great price right now and lowers the cost of the memory a lot but would it be more advisable to go with an I9-9900k.

Couple of questions. What software will you use to be editing videos in? Also have you looked at the Ryzen 3000 series? They lack the number of PCIE lanes and quad channel memory but outperform a 1920x and have much higher single core performance. But again it depends on which software you will be using.

Just keeping this here as a Software: Premiere Pro, After Effect for videos. I use the majority of adobe products. 

 

Ryzen 3900 looks like it might be the way to go! With a MSI MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI.
