Hi everyone!

I was thinking about upgrading my old PC with something better for gaming and light video and photo editing. I thought about getting i7-2600, 8GB of RAM, nVidia GT 530, and 1TB of storage space. I don't know if this configuration is good for anything so i came here for help.

Thank you in advance

I wouldn't waste your money on a GT 530 unless you already have one.  Just use Intel graphics on the 2600 until you can afford a GPU a little better.  Save your pennies and get something like an RX 560 or a GTX 1050.

Along with all these great suggestions, you may want to consider getting an SSD, it will help you run faster and booting times will shorten.

Thank you! I was thinking about getting like a ~200GB boot ssd after some time.
