hey everyone, i have just finished up on a semi modern PC i was hoping to install windows XP onto. But i cannot get the darn thing to install. My research tells me its because windows XP install disk is missing sata drivers so it cannot read my SSD. Has anybody actually gotten this to work? i saw Austin evans did. Ive slipsteamed drivers into an ISO but i cant create a legacy bootable windows XP iso onto a USB... i think? i got the ISO onto a drive with RUFUS but computer wouldnt pick it up.

I really just need advice. Thanks.

You don't want windows xp on an SSD because it doesn't have TRIM support

you can just install it in a virtual machine though

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
