Guidelines

Building a computer for about 400 to 500. MAX, its a tight budget, its not as east for me to make money.

CPU

Preferable AMD since its cheaper, and I understand how there CPU's work.

CPU Cooling

Stock will work fine.

Motherboard

Preferable an ATX so I can upgrade later.

Memory

8 to 16gb of ram should work fine

Storage

I dont need a an expensive SSD with like a tb of storage.

Video Card

anything that can run like fortnite on medium settings, I dont really want a GT 1030.

I have two 720p monitors, but when I get the chance il be upgrading them.

Extra fans, thermal compound, fan controllers

I got a few extra fans on hand from older builds, Il just be using the included thermal paste.

Peripherals

I have a mouse and keyboard.

Extra Notes,

I live in Canada and It would be nice if yall could change your PC part picker list to that.

I would like a white colour build but black is also fine.

I plan to code and play light games such as, Fortnite being the hardest, the escpaist 2, SCP, And games like that.

It will also be used for school work.

Anything extra will be added if asked.

You may need to add a cpu and a much faster processor if you're even thinking about playing fortnite at all.

 

Im super tired. scratch that. Maybe a gtx 1050? I used to play fortnite on this card with an older processor. (on low settings)

Im thinking a R9 380 would work, I found one for 60 bucks near me, but it might be a better idea to shed out a little bit more and go for a RX 380 for 110 near me.

I just was assuming something cheaper based off your CPU choice. A used RX 570 destroys some modern games and you can find it for less than $100

Il have to look around but since alot of people near me dont understand PC parts they sell them for really expensive or cheap,

• 4c/8t CPU, still solid for this price range, and it'll run most games on 1080p medium/low, high/ultra for old games or ones that aren't hard to run
• mATX mobo, most of the expandability of ATX but it's cheaper (still 4 RAM slots, multiple PCIe slots, etc)
• DDR4 3000Mhz CL16 RAM - lowest I'd go for this rig since you want to game on it and Ryzen likes faster RAM. I used to run the red version of this RAM with my R5 1600 and it was fine
• Solid budget case without too many compromises AFAIK
• The lowest I'd go for a PSU

If you go with a used R5 1600 and GPU you could get a better value gaming rig out of that same budget (assuming the GPUs in your price range actually perform better than the iGPU on a 2400G).

Not good for anything modern like Fortnite and such. The older games should be fine. But if you want to play anything modern at least get a more modern 4GB GPU.
