There was no burning smell and I was using this pc for almost 7 years with some minor HDD failures and CPU upgrade from Intel Pentium e2140 to pentium e5700

What video card do you have?

Where did you connect the monitor?  If you have integrated graphics in the CPU, connect monitor to the video connectors on the motherboard (io shield)

If you have dedicated video card, connect video card to the video card.

Sometimes, the computer will start on the integrated graphics even if you inserted a dedicated video card. Insert the monitor cable to the other set of connectors and see if anything changes

What motherboard and what processor?

If you installed a Ryzen 3rd generation CPU on a socket AM4 motherboard that doesn't have a recent BIOS update to add support for Ryzen 3rd generation, then the PC may not start.

What leds light up on the motherboard? Did you check the manual to see what those leds mean and what they tell you? If you don't have a printed copy, look online on the motherboard manufacturer website, for your motherboard model. Manual is there.

say what components you have
