Basically, I'm planning a bunch of changes for my PC and decided to also upgrade storage while I'm at it, but I have some questions about a few things. So I want to get a secondary SSD to put my small, highly used, or VR games on and an HDD to store media to host on Plex. For the SSD, after getting engaged in the PC world again after some time I found out that M.2s have become cheaper then they used to be and decided to go with an M.2. I chose the Western Digital WD BLACK SN750 NVMe M.2 500GB. It's recommended in many articles, I realllly love the aesthetics of it (which didn't influence my decision at all, I was just reallly happy with the aesthetic), and I could get a heatsink version which is a plus. The reason I'm unsure about the HDD is because I know that for NASes and Home Media Servers that you should be using NAS drives (WD red, SeaGate IronWolf, etc.) but I was going to be using this drive in a PC but dedicated to Plex. I'm pretty sure that that doesn't matter and that I should go with a NAS drive but I just want to be sure I was making the best decision. Also I want the HDD to be at least 2TB because my current 1TB Plex drive is REALLY close to reaching max capacity. And also I kind of want the NAS HDD I choose to be a great choice to put in a SOHO NAS later so that I when I actually get a SOHO NAS, like from Synology, I can just reuse the drive since I won't be using it in the PC if I switch to hosting on a NAS. I currently already have a Samsung 960PRO 512GB M.2 for boot, a Seagate BarraCuda Pro 4TB 7200 RPM as my other drive, and a 1TB 7200RPM Toshiba drive from my old alienware laptop that I use for Plex, I'm including current drive info in case it sways a decision in any way at all but probably not at all.

All help is much appreciated :).

in that case you should get a 3 or 4TB drive.

I probably won't need that much because I almost filled 1 TB just by adding movies and shows I don't have when I first used the drive, not by slowly adding them over time so I'm not gonna be adding as much
