It's largely on cards for legacy purposes at this point. MOST major businesses take chips and a decent amount can take Apple Pay, Samsung Pay, Google Pay, whatever fucking phone payment system you can think of (unless they have their own proprietary setup).

Mainly it's smaller businesses that don't have chip readers that use magnetic stripes on cards, but even then, a decent amount of them will have chip readers.
