Why doesn't Android EQ have the full range?

While Android natively gives the option to equalize from 60 Hz to 16 kHz, the audio output is from 20 Hz to 20 kHz (correct me if I'm wrong). So why is there no app that can equalize that full range? And why does Android not natively have the full range either? If anyone has an Android app that lets you EQ the full range, I'd be eternally grateful

Looked at my two installed players. Poweramp goes from 31Hz to 16kHz. Foobar goes from 55Hz to 20kHz. Could device be one limitation? I need to check on my other Android device.

 

E: not device related, tablet has same range with Poweramp.

Because you don't need eq above 16kHz. It all depends on algoritm used - when you increase 16kHz range, higher ranges will increase too - more or less, but that is enough. You need detailed eq only in DAW software, mostly for limit some frequencies, but not for listening music.

 

And of course some programs, like AIMP or FooBar may give you very complex EQ plugin, which in most cases have no sense and it's not easy to manage - 5 bands EQ is enough and much easier to use. But hey - you have 20 of them, so it must be better, right? Amplifiers, if has any eq, uses only 2 bands EQ (+ loudness sometimes that changes characteristic of sound in middle range).

 

And of course I'm not audiophile maniac who never uses sound correction and listen everything in "zero" (because not every band record their albums in the same perfect way), but also I don't need to spend half of song to eq precisely every frequency.
