New Build Questions

Hi, I am looking to build a new PC and was looking for some guidance as far as parts go. I currently have a 1070ti that I would use so I don't need a GPU. No fixed budget but under $800 is ideal. Casually play games like Fortnite and Minecraft but really just want something to run Inventor (CAD) and do school work.

Thanks

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

Would 500w and no extra CPU cooler be enough for OCing and potential GPU upgrade?

When it comes to current gen ryzen, applying PBO is usually easier for the same result, and the stock cooler will carry it as for wattage, you can power basically any PC with 500 watts, so don't worry about it.

Alright, are there any specific features that need to be worried about as far as motherboards go or are most x570's around $120 similar enough?

you won't find any boards around $120, that one's the cheapest. The price gaps between boards are around $10, with wildly varying quality, until you get to $180 or $190, then the boards are about the same quality until about $250.
