Well, it’s more like if you’re spending a lot of money on a graphics card, you may as well buy a higher quality board that will be more expensive, but offer better quality and features.

The answer is no. The motherboard plays very little if any role in the performance of the GPU. Assuming you have the right version and amount of PCI-E lanes
