CPU Error Q-Code 4D-Check CPU - Help!

Heyho!

I just recieved the last piece of my hardware and - before putting it all in a case and watercooling it - putting it together "dry"

Unfortunately I get a very persistent "4D - Check CPU" error

Specs:

ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Formula

RYZEN 9 3900x

G-Skill Trident Z 3200mhz

1070amp!

Any ideas? Tried reseating, only 1 Ram stick, safe boot, and so on already.

Bios update?

I'm kinda shaky here, with this expensive hardware not working...

:(

Could try a BIOS update, but that should support the CPU out of the box. I would double check mounting of your cooling solution, sometimes a bad mount can cause an issue. Also double check that your EPS pins are fully seated. Its always recommended with new builds to test them OUTSIDE the case first to ensure no issues like this.

re-seat your cooler. Are you using the stock cooler that comes with it? Also, please make sure to quote anyone you're responding to so they see that you responded.

Yeah I'm using stock. We re-seated both CPU and cooler 3 times now.

I'll try to reach Asus support now.
