Help computer seems slow

so i used to be able to runs games really well, i'm currently rocking a i7-6700 and asus 1070 strix and games have seemed to not want to run as well any more its gotten pretty bad some games used to run like 100fps and now its like 50fps

maybe it's time to clean out dust and re-apply thermal paste. Hard drive or ssd for windows and or games? have you run windows update and updated graphics drivers lately?

yea ive kept everything updated and ect like monsterhunter used to run really well now its hard to hit 70 fps

Check if there is any unnecessary programs running in the background and clear the game's cache.

The system is too bloated to update. A universal solution is to reinstall the system

was gonna try that as a last resort got way to much to back up, way to many files with very little back up space

Disk partition, C disk I only give 60G. Third party software installed on other disks. If there is a problem with the system, I only need to go into PE to backup the desktop files and then redo the system. After the system is done, it only needs a simple debugging.

problem with that is that i just bought another hard drive so i haven't gotten the chance to move all the important files over and its about 1.4 tb of data, but i will try to give that a shot when i can and have the time
