Hi there,

I'm currently looking to buy a gtx 1660 ti and I have it narrowed down to 2 options,   Gigabyte's 3 fan design or ASUS ROG's design. I was wondering whether the extra $30 on ROG's side makes any difference in performance or if it's just a price for the brand name.

i'd take the gigabyte one because the 1660ti doesn't even run very hot anyway

^^^ This. The STRIX cards are usually really good, but assuming the Gigabyte is at least decent it should be plenty. My EVGA XC Ultra (2 fan card, but a well designed cooler still) runs about 60% fan speed and stays at 58C under 24/7 folding load for weeks, if I run the fans at 100% I've been able to keep it at or under 50C when I was stress testing and overclocking it, it did get loud then though.

What's your monitor resolution/refresh rate?

RX 480s/580s are only $100-120 on ebay

Otherwise you should get the RX 5700 at the same price as it's closer to a 2070 with a bit of work

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?
