That's pretty fast dude. It depends from system to system how long time it'll take. On some it'll take longer and on some less. You just have to be patient, or go grab yourself a coke while you wait for your pc to turn on :)

My pc booted in 25 secounds in Windows 7 and with the same drive in Windows 8 the time is down by a lot.

The specs that your SSD have is reference, you might be unlucky or just have something on your computer making it take longer.

Fast boot should allow you to get to Windows (power button to Windows 8 desktop fully loaded) in 3 to 6 sec.

To enjoy Windows 8 Fast Boot feature, you need the following requirements:

  • Motherboard that FULLY support UEFI.
  • GOP (Graphics Output Protocol) ready graphic card
  • SSD (faster the better, of course)
  • Windows 8 installed on a GPT partition and not the legacy MBR (You'll need to format and re-install Windows 8 clean, as it will also create another needed boot partition)
  • SATA controller set to AHCI mode
  • HPET (if you have this - depends on your CPU) enabled and set to to 64-bit mode for WIn8 64-bit, or 32-bit for Win8 32-bit
  • CSM (Compatibility Support Module) disabled
  • Fast boot enabled in the UEFI setup
  • Enable "Fast Startup" (enabled by default - this the feature that hibernate partially Windows for faster startup)
My Surface Pro 2 boots from power button to desktop from shutdown in 3sec.

Hope this helps.

You can go to power management, click the second link on The left side from the top, there will be a text saying to allow changes, down make sure fast boot option is enables

Click the like button if I helped you, it only takes 0.5 seconds and does not cost anything!
