So recently I received an ESO key, and my friend really wants to play it.  Can he download it as well, or can you only have one public IP tied to the account?

Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.

As I get older I get angrier more cynical, meaner. I feel some warning posts coming. I feel a ban coming. I was warned.

It depends on whether or not you played previously, if your account has been in beta before and is already created, then you should be able to give it away and both play, because it also renews it on your account. My friend did that with his brother, it worked then. If it doesnt work now then it was fixed.

Unless you have a second key, no. If you played before, then yes. You would have to give him the key they sent you. Playing the BETA before will grant you continuous access through the BETA phases.

 

Recently, they emailed everyone trying to break their record of logins and gave us a URL for our friends to fvisit and get free keys. It was

Yes. You log in with the Bethesda account link they send in the email. You use the ID you decided on during account creation to log into the site and the client.
