USB-C Power Delivery Passthrough for Android Auto

IsRael_

I'm just curious if something like this exists or if anyone had any success doing something like this before.

I just got a new car which has Android auto, but Android auto requires you to physically connect your phone to the built in USB port in the car. This port only outputs 1.5amp and doesn't "rapidly charge" my Pixel 3 XL. I know that the pixels use the USB PD (Power Delivery) standard which as far as I can tell is only supported using USB-C connectors.

Basically my question is, is possible to "inject" USB PD into integrated USB port in my car using something like this?

(I know that this one may not work, at least without USB type C to USB type A adapters)

There is a typical DC power outlet in my car that I would connect a DC power adapter to like this one.

I want to combine the USB PD Power from the power adapter and the data coming from the car.

Is this possible?
