I bought a 2070 2 weeks ago and the card came with dead memory so i sent it back to amazon and bought a rx 5700 xt and it works fine but the fps keep droping. im 14 and dont really know anything about these cards but i can barely play i have a i9 9900kf 8gb of ram do they have anything to do with it i have to use my old 1050 ti from my old tower and it lags and looks horrible.

Depending on what games you are paying, the resolution you are playing at and your games grafics settings, fps dips might not be unusual. 

 

In The Witcher 3 with every setting maxed out at 4k will for instance you will see fps drops for sure at that tier of gpu

What framerates are we talking about?
