Jbat1

Hi.

Made a topic yesterday bout ryzen 3000 not even posting on b450 msi board.

In the end it posted. Today i woke up. Turned the pc on. Same problem.

I now want to reset cmos with the jbat1 pins.

But as with everything. Im very carefull and look at videos online to make sure im doing it right.

I see that people have 3 jbat1 pins and a jumper on the mobo.

I have 4 jbat1 pins and no jumper to be found even tho the manual mentions a jumper.

Do i have the right pins? And can i short the jbat pins with a screwdriver that has a black tip that picks up things like screws.

Generally the CMOS clear jumper will be labeled as something along the lines of "CMOS".

If you're unsure, you can just pop the CMOS battery out for a few minutes.

I don't know how to post messages properly. This post is a fill in.

Not being able to delete a message is disappointing.

Alright. Lets hope it fixed the issue

Hi,

I used a jumper cab to fix issue I had. Alhumdulillah. I had issue where monitor wouldn't sync , keyboard and mouse wouldn't power on when booting. All EZ bug leds on MSI board were off. I powered off, took power cable out and pressed power button to ensure entirely drained.  Used a jumper cap and pressed gently down on the right 2 pins could feel the cap go down. Left it between 5-10 seconds. Took it out and powered on and he leds stayed flashing as if checking each component and it went into BIOS CMOS boot mode. F1 then to startup. I hope that helps someone. MSI boards have 4 pins that through me off too but it's right pins. Side note the black cable to right of screwdriver looks loose a bit could just be perception.20200213_082816.thumb.jpg.7bcf41eed1594344bafb805cbc70effd.jpg
