What can i connect to USB-C on my laptop s540

Hi, first time posting here, so i hope i am in the right topic

Im looking for docking station mainly for desk so i can connect to it HDMI monitor and ethernet port.

Smthing like dok.png.07b274f1bd21742adafad56f3721d0bc.png

But i havent found any info if my USB C connector is capable to transmit video output (im looking into 1080p@144hz) and ethernet (+keyboard and mouse).

All i could find is USB-C 3.1 gen1 capable of 5gb/s. Is it only for data transmitting or it can do more things ? Is 5gb/s enough for video output at high refresh rate ? This whole situation about USB types is really confusing. Ppl have no idea what are they buying.

Manual says only this:

usb.png.05edf9f5a5c034f7cdad56ed9f2f7200.png

If i lookup accesories on website there is only bluetooth speaker.

I have exactly IdeaPad S540-15IWL GTX 81SW

I have posted this same question on reddit but they answered either i think it should work or i think it will not work, i mean i am grateful for every answer but it just added to my confusion and now i hate USB specification even more than ever

Thanks
