UPGRADING POWER SUPPLY HELP

my friend bought a be quiet power supply because hes pc was running out of power so to say... but his pc has a oem mother board and it doesnt have any of the connectors we have, it doesnt even have 20+4 pin connector, how can we install the psu?

If its a prefab, like something from Dell/HP, and doesnt have standard Power Attatchments, chances are you wont be able to use it and will have to get a new Motherboard, possibly CPU and such. You may be able to mod the cables and make your own connectors, but you would need some intensive PSU knowledge for that.

as said above, many oems have some weird fuckery to not fit normal PSUs, with special connectors with different pinouts and such

What model prebuilt/motherboard is it?
Just search "[the model number] 24pin motherboard power adapter" on eBay and you'll likely find a cable that adapts the 24pin to whatever the motherboard uses. Should only cost a few dollars.
