Dell Poweredge 2900

So I use my server for everything. Unfortunately it's the Poweredge 2900 which means I've got a jet engine in my living room. I live in an upstairs apartment so I can't exactly relocate it. Is there any way to fix the noise of this monster? Edit: I've gotten the noise down a bit playing in the bios but it's still way to loud for what I'm using it for( I've been exploring turning it into a gaming rig)

Does the BIOS offer you any options to control the fans? I find some Dell servers give you at least a little control in that dept. How far it will get you may not be satisfactory though.

I've looked through and I've gotten it from a jet engine to a semi but it's still unbearable

Well your other option is to wire a resistor into the fans as Electronics Wizardy said. Outside of that would require replacing the server as a whole.
