pfSense issues

Trying to get pfsense setup but I cant access the web gui. Not too sure what has gone wrong since everybody seems to say pfsense "just works". 

Main Computer: Intel 9900k, Asus Maximus XI Formula, Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 4x16GB 3000MHZ C15, EVGA GTX1070 Hybrid, Corsair HX850i, Lian Li PC-O11 Dynamic, 26TB

2: Xeon 2695 V3, Asus x99-A II, Corsair Vengeance Pro 4x8GB 2666 C15, Corsair RX750

3: Dell R510 8-Bay, dual x5675, 16GB ECC, 8x600GB 15k SAS

"just work" is what pfsense always did for me, especially since it normally auto-configures an anti-lockout on the LAN interface.

Could you provide a bit more info?

What ip ranges did you setup? Are you sure your interfaces are setup correctly?

 

What hardware?

 

What local ip range are you using?

 

Does your system get a dhcp address?

lan is 192.168.1.2 - 192.168.1.100

My computer shows the ip, gateway and subnet to be correct

I have it running on a dell T320

 

It might be worth mentioning that I just realized I cant access my isp router web gui either so it is probably a pc problem...

usually isp routers are locked and you can only configure it from your account on isp website. if you mean modem you cant configure it.

Cant speak for others but you can with comcast's, I can get to it on my phone right now with 10.0.0.1

that's interesting does comcast do mac address filtering too. for me i have spectrum and it was a pain until i realized why i couldn't get a wan ip on opnsense.

can you ping the gateway?

Figured it out, was a combo of nordvpn being stupid even though it was not using it and I did not have lan dhcp setup correctly like @Electronics Wizardy mentioned. Networking is not very easy when you have been up all night.
