OK! 

go to bios, find voltage, set to 1.4v, find AVX offset, set to 2, find multiplier, set to 48. run prime95/occt/aida64 for stability.

if its too hot, reduce voltage by .01, if it crashes, increase voltage by .01, rinse and repeat.

Anybody has a great and simple guide on how to easily overclock the i7-8700K? I don't really wanna go into the BIOS stuff cuz am not that familiar with it, but if I have to, then I'll happily do it! My i7-8700K runs a maximum clock of 4.3Ghz which is not that interesting. I'm looking to overclock it to about 4.7Ghz or 4.8Ghz, even 5.0Ghz if possible. I do have an AIO liquid cooler installed from Corsair, the 280mm one, so I believe am good to go for a great overclock!

you should definitely use the BIOS, tools in Windows like XTU or throttlestop aren't as reliable as the BIOS.
