Next GPU Suggestion

BushMaster234

So, I'm thinking about upgrading or thinking about a replacement.

I have gigabyte b450 d4sm? AMD 5 3600, and and Asus Rx 570 04g(with some coil whine)

Ive heard the AMD Rx 5700 xt is a good match for the amd 5 3600.

What are your thoughts?

The CPU will not hold back any GPU. You could slap a 2080 Ti in your system, and the CPU would not be a bottleneck. So it does not matter what GPU you put in your system.

ram speed matters for gaming too, if you haven't got very fast memory then budget for some of that too.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

What's your monitor resolution/refresh rate?

If it's 1080p just wait and see what the big navi GPU is, maybe upgrade your display with a new GPU then.

Otherwise grab an RX 5700 XT.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Unless you really need ultra settings just save your money for now.

Wait until big navi comes out and shakes up pricing, and probably upgrade your display with your GPU, to like a 1440p 100-120hz ultra wide or something.

which would be like ~$800 to do all at once. $400 RX 5700 XT + $400 monitor
