Yeah but it has +90$ shipping and import fees to EU. For some odd reason big retailers don't sell msi monitors here, only some smaller shop but it's overpriced at 250€.

Man, the contrast would be a real downgrade on the IPS compared to the VA. I am planning on playing a bunch of fast paced games, but also don't want to compromise on image quality. How severe is ghosting on VA's? I'm gonna go with a 144hz so it should still be much better than a 60hz non VA and fairly acceptable for gaming?

That MSI monitor really should be widely available in EU. Have you checked Amazon.co.uk/Overclockers/Caseking? I don't know if the latter 2 ships to Slovenia, but it's worth a look since I've ordered from them before.

 

There's a video or two on YT that shows VA tearing (some guy playing RDR2). It's always easier to see when you look for it though...

It comes at 235€ there. What are it's advantages over C24G1? It has 2 USB ports, but I think it uses an external power brick?

The MSI is €265 here. €235 doesn't seem too bad? I don't know what advantages/disadvantages it has over the AOC, I haven't looked at it. I have heard good about the MSI monitor, that's all (but you can also read about people who's had bad experiences). This case is probably the same for the AOC; or any other product really. There's always gonna be those who are unsatisfied.

 

A friend of mine has the MSI and shes very happy with it, albeit shes not "techy" so probably would be happy with something similar  

 

Black Friday is coming up, so maybe wait till then and see if it goes on sale.

AOC is quite a popular brand in EU. Also much easier to return it to a local retailer than to amazon uk.

its true, it helps you see people in fps games too

the monitors we have weeded it down have the same static ratio but idk about the dynamic the aoc has no info on that
