Need laptop recommendation

Earlier I was looking for recommendations here and now I have narrowed down my choices to IdeaPad 730s( i7, 16gb, 256gb, $790) and Thinkpad x1 yoga 4th gen (i5, 8gb, 256gb, $1142). Cost is not an issue. But what I'm wondering is Thinkpad worth the extra cost. I'm basically looking for solid build, light weight, good battery, display, keyboard and speakers

Microsoft announces new laptops tomorrow, some should have Ryzen CPUs as well.

But what do you need the laptop for? What software?

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...
