So I am currently running an RTX 2070 xc ultra gaming GPU.

My main question is if I have a game capped at 240 but my monitor is 144hz will I notice a difference if I cap it at 144fps instead?

Would that show any benefits over running it at 240fps?

It's my first computer is it true that I can use freesync with an Nvidia GPU? If so.. what do I need to set that up and how can I do it?

Replies and any insight is greatly appreciated!

Current rig for those wondering.

Ryzen 3700x

RTX 2070 XC Ultra Gaming

32GB G.Skill Trident Z 3200Mhz (GTRZX)

Asus Crosshair Hero VII Wifi

NZXT Kraken x62 Rev.2

where can i find the option to disable it? its not in the nvidia control panel cuz i also have integrated graphics

If you have optimus then Intel's driver directly controls the display and enforces V-sync in non-fullscreen applications
