When you say primarily gaming, do you intend to do any content creation at all?

From what I've seen from Gamers Nexus, Bitwit and all the rest, if all you're planning to do is game, it's better to get a 9700k.

I've got one myself and I have 0 complaints.

Hello,

If you don't plan to overclock you can remove the CPU cooler. Otherwise the one you picked is really good.

Get a 3700x which is cheaper and perform the same more or less.

Get 3600mhz rams if you can.

Change the SSD it's overpriced (sabrent 1TB, crucial 500GB or WD blue 500GB for example).

Get a better PSU like the rm650x from corsair or even the 550w unit. I read EVGA G3 series are not really good.

You can pull off a pretty ballin' rig for $2500. Made some changes for you, went for a black with hints of RGB aesthetic. The 3900X will give you some future proofing, that’s why I left it in. Beefier CPU cooler to match the theme of the build, faster ram, more ssd storage, different case (again to match theme, but you can change it to whatever) and a different power supply.

I got a ps5 and a pc pretty ballin

Don’t bother with the 9900k. It’s about the same price as the 3900X but at this point not worth it. (In my opinion, others may disagree)

This would play every title you throw at it at ultra settings with fantastic frame rates. Do you need a monitor or peripherals included in the $2500 budget?

Yeah if it fits sure, the 9700k is also a good choice as previously said.

Depends on who you ask...I’m definitely not the expert.

I’ll call his lord and majesty of the power supplies, @LukeSavenije down from his abode on high.

It’s not worth it if you can get a 3900x for the same price as a 9900k, or a 3700x for the price of a 9700k.

Yeah I guess this could be pretty good if you’re looking for raw frame rates.

a 3700x or 8700k/9700k performs just as well for gaming.
