At the moment im running a 2 x SATA III port PCI-e card in my system to add more storage.

 

Is it possible to add another card the same to add another 2 x SATA ports in my system?

In theory it is possible, but why don't you just get a card with more ports?

That thing is a piece of junk. It runs on only a single PCI-e lane which doesn't have enough bandwidth to run all four ports at full speed.

Im not gonna be running all 4 drives at full speed at once.

 

All i want it for is to add more storage to the PC.

Well the card i ordered works great.

 

Theres a switch on there for AHCI Boot, IDE Boot or no boot.

 

Im running 2 x 6TB Seagates and a  2 x WD Black 2TB.

 

Works fine.
