Faulty 8700k

so it seems like i might have a faulty 8700k, but im not sure i can say what exactly is broken or how to diagnose it, so i can explain it for my warranty claim, since it works just fine for everything but factorio and battlefield 5.

is there any benchmark or test that could identify this issue?

Nothing easy; other than running memtest, and trying single dimms in different channels to verify the ram or motherboard is not at fault.

 

Edit: But with a faulty CPU even those might be wrong.
