Newbie PC Build

Hi,

 

I'm planning to build a gaming PC ranging around $1000 USD. This is going to be my first PC build. I would mainly use this PC for gaming and video editing. I attached a file containing the parts that I have chosen using PCPartPicker. I am not sure about some of the parts yet, mainly the GPU.

 

I would like to ask whether the GPU is okay? And if you have any suggestion please let me know.

only thing thats a pain right now is some of the drivers for the 5700 xt but other than that i agree

Ditch the 5400 RPM drive.  If you can't afford an SSD, at least do a 7200.

it's because it's not an hard drive. It's a hybrid drive, an SSHD

I also selected some parts if I decide to go for Ryzen. But I dont know if it is alright. Thank you for your reply!

Yeah, those aren't all they're cracked up to be...

In my opinion, a good 7200 RPM HDD is a better storage choice than an SSHD for games and programs, not the OS.

• Ditch the hybrid drive and get a 7200rpm HDD
• Ditch the NVME drive and get a 1TB SATA SSD
• I personally would stay away from MSI motherboards
• Grab a cooler for your AMD build
• Don't get the 212 Evo, it's a trash cooler
