Software game capture software with minimal overhead?

like mentioned previously, Shadowplay will use the NVENC encoder on the GPU and not affect performance.

I won't capture footage often enough to justify getting a dedicated capture card.

 

Which software do you recommend I use to capture video game footage with voiceover from a microphone?

 

If it helps, I have an i7-8700K with 16 GB RAM and RTX 2080 and I run games at 1440p.

Use the Nvidia shadowplay, no performance drop.

But Nvidia went full Facebook and you now need to make an account to access GeForce Experience, which is BS.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

 

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

That's fine, I have an active Facebook account. As long as it captures a standard video file, I'm happy.
