Charger problems.

Most current laptops have the "brick" portion of the charger stop once the laptop is at full battery. I wonder if @NotABigGamer had it in the sun if overheating was the issue. But as for practical use, I don't believe most modern laptop chargers can overheat if at all. They get hot for sure, but not enough to kill itself (I think). 

 

May have been a factory defect as stated or perhaps an aging issue depending on how old it is. 

I had a laptop charger die for a dell laptop. I was wondering if overcharging can kill a laptop charger. Can it?

@Windows7ge How long do you think it would take for it to overheat and break?

I have never had it in the sun.

Its probaly a defect. The thing is like 6 years old. Its slow and i am getting rid of it i was just wondering.

I have a couple old laptops with non-original chargers. They get quite hot. Hotter than I'd like to touch. But that's not a good comparison for OPs situation.
