Help me choose GPU

Hey guys I'm building new pc and I'm getting asus rtx 2060 pheonix edition for very cheap price, like 1660ti cheap price.

Should i buy that card or i should spend like 100$ more and get higher model of the card. Are higher model cards really worth the 100$ difference??

 

 

If i buy this card what are the cons and pros.

If it's that cheap it's good. If you're spending more, grab the RX 5700

Depending on what you want from it, if you are going to do 1080p gaming only then I suggest not worrying about anything else and get the 2060, I would suggest a AMD RX 5700xt but those are around $400 to $420 depending on whether you want to deal with the terrible stock cooler or not

For that low, the 2060 you've selected is a great buy

Pros:
RTX features, ray-tracing and DLSS in games that support it, as well as having a better NVENC encoder for streaming/recording (all the 2000 series cards do, the GTX 1660/1660 Ti don't)
It's the best PPD/$ card for Folding @ Home 
Low power consumption, shouldn't be too hot
You can use ShadowPlay, which is excellent, Ansel as well in games that support that

Cons:
smol cooler so it'll run hotter than other GPUs
uh.... nViDiA BaD or something, not really many other cons

hey guys im strictly talking about 2060 here, in india these things are like 30percent more expensive atleast. So any higher card is out of the equation.

Is that asus card any good? for 1080p 144hz of course. i mean if i spend more money would it be worth it  ?

How hot are we talking about is that gonna be a problem?

Should run decently cool, just not as cool as other more expensive models. If all else fails, you can always crank the fans to max

^^^ Some reviews (buyer reviews, can't find a review site review on it) say it hits 78C, others that it stays under 80C, others that it went to 90C. I assume the higher numbers are people with little to no airflow, ramping the fans above stock should drop it below 75C.

I have 1050ti now it doesnt go above 65, How high is 80? is that gonna affect performace?

Shouldn’t. Just means less overclocking headroom, which is to say in this instance, none at all really

Pascal and Turing boost higher the lower temps are, for the absolute best perf you want to keep it below 55C, most air coolers won't do that without maxed fans and a lot of noise. So people usually compromise and let it run slightly hotter. Up to 75C is fine, 80C is getting a bit hot, 90C is too hot (should keep it below 85C at all times). If you have reasonable airflow and set a proper fan profile (stock ones are usually garbage) you should easily be able to keep it at around 75C. 2060s aren't hot GPUs in the first place so they don't take a lot to cool, even a small cooler like this should handle it.

Frankly i Dont care about noise levels, SO lets say i run fans on highest speeds, What temps can i expect?

 

for eg.

Right now i use intel stock cooler at max settings( thats like 3600 rpm) and I dont mind the noise.  i keep my pc a little far from me.

The only reviews I found that mentioned actual temps after ramping fans was one who said he kept it in the 80s (that guy was also hitting 90C stock so I think the airflow in his case is total garbage), and one who said it easily kept 75C or below, thus why I was quoting that temp. If you max the fans all the way you'll likely get lower temps, or if you have proper airflow though the case (all GPU are coolers other than blowers rely on case airflow to evacuate hot air, otherwise they'll suck it right back in and keep getting hotter and hotter in a nasty loop). 

Again it depends on airflow, always the case airflow lol. When I ran a case with shitty airflow (I was a noob, didn't know better) my 980 Ti would hit 83C under full load, once I had a proper setup I never saw it even touch 80 again.

i Found Colorful IGame RTX 2060  Card its even cheaper like a lot cheaper, + it has 3 fans and OC.

 

Can u please check and tell me?
