Hello!

So I'm experiencing some editing software preview issues.

I tried using adobe premiere pro and sony vegas.

I tried out adobe and vegas with the free trial.

I have a r5 2400g and a rx 580

On vegas with any clip at the first couple of seconds the preview would look fine, but after those couple of seconds the rest of the video would be very laggy, i set my preview quality on draft and quarter and I would be getting 4fps on the preview at most, also if I render the video will turn out fine so just the preview is the problem.

On adobe the preview would look fine but whenever I do something other than press play on the preview tab, the preview would start back at the beginning (for example, if im 10 s into the video and I press the cut button the preview will start showing me that I'm back at the beginning of the clip while the audio and the little line that shows you where you are on the video would be continuing as if nothing happened at the 10 s mark)

The clips I tried using were 1080p@60 fps and 1440p@60fps recorded with Obs.

I don't know if its because of my specs because I think editing videos should be decent with my pc.

Try disabling your iGPU and see if that helps. I had the same issue with Premiere when I turned on my iGPU, since it was using it instead of my dedicated GPU for acceleration.

You need to go into the BIOS to do that.
