Ceiling Speakers and hooking them up?

Hello all!,

Today I present a issue. So I bought a house recently that has these speakers wired up in the roof in various areas of the house.  How ever a intergrater wanted to charge me 8 grand for a system that would let me control them? Now I have a quite a bit of experience with custom electronics and have a DIY Homelab powering a large amount of smart tools. How ever the world of audio is a bit of a unknown to me.

Is there a better way? I want to have multiroom audio and be able to easily control music and / or video audio on a room by room basis.

I attached pictures of the wiring and one of the speakers in the roof. Looking forward to the suggestions you guys have to offer.

And if there is any information lacking just ask.

Thanks in Advance, Duke Venator

what you need first of all is a multizone receiver (each room is a zone)

if you want to be able to control room by room it will cost you for a receiver like that. (i'll have to research its not a popular thing, more of a nitch thing)
those wires are basically 2 pair set for stereo in each room (if theres 2 speakers in each room) or its 2 speakers in one housing or a single.

if theres only a single speaker in a room you need to look to see if it is a single or a double

if only single speaker rooms each wire sleeve will cover 2 rooms. your going to have to look to see what wires go where when you look at the speakers

something like this with a 1 or 2 zone receiver pushing to it

also could add these to each room for volume control

just was a quick look...this can get expensive if its a all in one unit like this

Okay Checked and yes it appears two speakers per a room.  and two rooms.

Honestly the idea is to have spotify or something like it just cast to it. With the intention to have volume control handled by an app.
